2025: A Year of Ambitious Development and Economic Revival, Declares President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that 2025 will mark the beginning of significant development projects nationwide, restoring economic prosperity and spreading general well-being throughout the Maldives. In his New Year address to the Maldivian people, he extended heartfelt congratulations and outlined the nation’s ambitious goals.

Dr. Muizzu emphasized that the Maldives is now focused on achieving specific objectives, guided by a well-defined roadmap towards joining the ranks of developed nations. He highlighted that the new year offers a chance for resolutions at national, community, and individual levels.

The President reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to serving the public with unwavering dedication, fulfilling its promises, maintaining trust, and addressing issues with lasting solutions. He urged citizens to embrace positive thinking and prioritize peace and reconciliation as personal resolutions for the coming year. Stressing that true development and happiness stem from peace, respect, and love, Dr. Muizzu called for a national focus on positive thinking to make 2025 a year of progress.

Concluding his speech, President Muizzu encouraged unity in pursuing national development goals, asserting that 2025 will be pivotal in building a responsible future for all Maldivians. He also conveyed his New Year greetings to the nation via his official X account.
