In a celebration of dedication and innovation, Dhiraagu, the Maldives’ leading telecommunications provider, hosted its annual awards ceremony at Crossroads Maldives on July 12, 2024. The event recognized 79 employees for their exceptional contributions to the company.
Among the honorees, 45 long-serving staff members were acknowledged for their loyalty and commitment, having served Dhiraagu for 10, 15, and 25 years. Additionally, 34 employees received accolades for their significant achievements, including 15 Divisional Merit Awards, 11 Special Merit Awards, 5 Innovation Awards, and 2 Outstanding Leaders Awards.
The evening’s highest honor, the Chairperson’s Award, was bestowed upon Ismail Samah, Engineer Core Systems, for his technical expertise and tireless efforts in advancing the company’s core system projects.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the Communications Authority of Maldives (CAM), Ilyas Ahmed, Dhiraagu’s CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed, board members, and staff. In his remarks, Rasheed emphasized the importance of recognizing employee achievements in driving the company’s mission to enrich the digital experience of the Maldivian people.
