Keep Raincoats and Umbrellas Handy: Maldives Braces for Rain and Thunderstorms

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has forecasted that numerous regions across the Maldives will encounter rainfall today, with some islands potentially facing heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. This announcement was made in their latest weather bulletin, which is valid until sunset.

The bulletin indicates that wind speeds may increase up to 40 miles per hour within cloud formations. The MET Office has warned that seas will be moderately rough, and winds will be strong under the clouds.

In light of these conditions, the MET Office urges everyone to remain vigilant and prepared for the weather today.
