President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu engaged in discussions today with Estonia’s Minister of Education and Research, Kristina Kallas, to explore potential collaborations in the education sector. President Muizzu arrived in Estonia early morning, following an invitation from Estonian President Dr. Alar Karis, who officially welcomed him today.
According to the President’s Office, Minister Kallas paid a courtesy call on President Muizzu, during which they delved into Estonia’s education system and identified possible areas for bilateral cooperation. The discussions included insights into Estonia’s educational framework and strategies to foster a results-oriented mindset among students.

The meeting also saw participation from Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel and Home Minister Ali Ihusaan. The President’s Office further elaborated that the visit aims to strengthen trade ties and explore partnerships in digital technology, cybersecurity, e-governance, climate initiatives, and education between the Maldives and Estonia.
President Muizzu is scheduled to conclude his visit on Thursday.
