STELCO partners with Hulhumalé Hospital to promote employee health and wellness

By Ahmed Ashraf Published September 30, 2025

The State Electric Company (STELCO) has carried out a dedicated health screening program for its employees in collaboration with Hulhumalé Hospital, reinforcing its commitment to workplace wellness and healthy living.

The initiative, held earlier yesterday, aimed to raise awareness among staff about the importance of preventive healthcare while providing them with access to professional medical assessments. A significant number of employees took part in the activity, undergoing comprehensive health checks and receiving valuable guidance on maintaining long-term wellbeing.

According to STELCO, the program reflects the company’s broader strategy of fostering a healthier workforce by integrating wellness practices into daily corporate culture. By offering employees direct access to medical screenings, STELCO hopes to encourage early detection of potential health risks and promote lifestyle changes that enhance productivity and overall quality of life.

Health screening activities of this nature are increasingly recognized as essential components of modern workplace policy, particularly in large state-owned enterprises like STELCO. The collaboration with Hulhumalé Hospital underscores the growing role of public-private partnerships in advancing preventive healthcare and building a stronger, healthier workforce in the Maldives.
