By Ahmed Ashraf Published October 4, 2025

Ooredoo Maldives has officially announced the return of its signature community event, the Ooredoo Fun Run, scheduled to take place on 19 December 2025 in Hulhumalé. Widely celebrated as the happiest run in the Maldives, the annual event blends fitness with festivity, drawing thousands of participants from across the nation.

The Fun Run has grown beyond a traditional race to become a national celebration of health, happiness, and unity. Families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts gather every year to take part in a vibrant experience filled with color throws, music, and lively entertainment. Participants often walk, jog, or even dance their way through the course, creating a carnival-like atmosphere that caps off the year.

This year’s edition promises to be no different. Registrations will open on 19 October 2025, with Ooredoo encouraging Maldivians of all ages to join the fun. Runners can look forward to exclusive kits, festive activities, and new surprises to be revealed closer to the event date.

“The Ooredoo Fun Run is more than fitness — it’s about bringing people together, sharing joy, and celebrating community spirit” the company said in its announcement.

As one of the country’s most recognizable lifestyle events, the Fun Run also reinforces Ooredoo Maldives’ brand vision of enriching lives through meaningful experiences that extend beyond technology.

Ooredoo Maldives, a leading provider of voice, data, broadband, and enterprise services, continues to play a transformative role in connecting communities across the nation. The company posted revenues of MVR 1.78 billion and profits after tax of MVR 465 million in 2021, and its shares are publicly traded on the Maldives Stock Exchange.

The upcoming Fun Run is expected to attract a record turnout, further cementing its status as one of the Maldives’ most beloved community gatherings.
