Ooredoo Announces 11th Umrah Package Winner Under #LiveUnlimited Campaign

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 20 hours ago

Ooredoo Maldives has announced Muuthasim Fahumy from S. Meedhoo as the eleventh winner of its #LiveUnlimited Anniversary Campaign, securing a fully sponsored Umrah trip under the telecom operator’s year long religious travel giveaway.

The campaign, launched as part of Ooredoo Maldives’ 20th anniversary celebrations, offers customers a chance to win an Umrah trip every 20 days, with 19 Umrah packages in total and a grand prize of a Hajj trip for two reserved for the final winner. The promotion runs from 9 April 2025 to 14 May 2026, giving eligible mobile and broadband customers multiple opportunities to be selected.

Announcing Muuthasim’s win, Ooredoo Maldives said the fully sponsored pilgrimage marks another milestone in its effort to deliver experiences that go beyond conventional connectivity. The company highlighted that the campaign is designed to create “moments that resonate on a deeper, more personal level”, reflecting the message repeatedly shared by CEO and Managing Director Khalid Al Hamadi in earlier winner announcements for the same promotion.

How customers qualify for the draw

According to Ooredoo, customers can automatically enter the #LiveUnlimited draw by meeting specific usage and spending thresholds within any 30 day period:

  • Existing customers must
    • Spend more than MVR 250 on bill payments or add ons, and
    • Use Ooredoo services, calls or data, on at least 25 of the past 30 days.
  • New customers qualify when they
    • Spend a minimum of MVR 400 on bill payments or add ons.

The promotion is open to Postpaid, Prepaid, SuperNet, Faseyha and 5G customers, with no separate opt in required. Meeting the spending and usage criteria is sufficient to be included in the regular lucky draws.

Part of a broader anniversary push

The #LiveUnlimited campaign sits within a broader anniversary programme that combines faith based rewards with digital offers. Alongside the Umrah and Hajj giveaways, Ooredoo has been rolling out limited time promotions such as bonus data on selected packs, gamified rewards through the My Ooredoo App, and partner offers for m-Faisaa payments as part of its 20 year celebrations.

The company positions this mix of network benefits and experiential rewards as a way of reinforcing its brand promise to “enrich people’s lives” in the Maldives. Ooredoo Maldives provides mobile, data, broadband, content and enterprise services nationwide and reported revenues of MVR 1.787 billion and profit after tax of MVR 465 million as of 31 December 2021, with its shares listed on the Maldives Stock Exchange. Its parent, Ooredoo Group, operates in 10 markets across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia, generating QAR 30 billion in revenue in 2021.

For customers, the #LiveUnlimited draws offer a direct incentive to consolidate spending on Ooredoo services while creating high impact, faith oriented rewards that are likely to resonate strongly in the Maldivian market. Interested users can find full eligibility details and campaign updates via the Ooredoo Maldives website and official social media channels, including a dedicated page for the promotion.
