Dhiraagu has strengthened its standing as one of the Maldives’ leading employers after receiving the globally recognised Great Place to Work Certification for 2025, a distinction awarded to companies that demonstrate exceptional employee experience and organisational culture.
The certification is granted through the Trust Index Survey, a benchmark tool that evaluates trust, fairness, respect, pride, and consistency across an organisation’s workforce. Only a limited number of Maldivian organisations qualify each year, placing Dhiraagu among an exclusive group of certified employers, including a select number of telecom companies across the wider Asian region.
At a staff celebration held today, CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed described the recognition as a reflection of the company’s values and long-term investment in its people. He noted that the certification sets an international benchmark for Dhiraagu and reinforces its position not only as a technological leader but also as a people-centric organisation.
Director of Human Resources Azha Zameer also highlighted the milestone, crediting the achievement to the dedication of employees and the company’s strong workplace culture. She emphasised Dhiraagu’s commitment to rewarding performance, fostering growth, and prioritising wellbeing as key drivers behind the recognition.
Dhiraagu continues to expand its employee-focused programmes, offering professional development pathways, extensive benefits, mental wellness initiatives, and staff engagement efforts across its operating centres. With 99.9 percent of its workforce made up of Maldivians, the company maintains a strong focus on developing local talent through structured learning, leadership development, and initiatives that support work life balance.
The certification adds another layer to Dhiraagu’s long standing reputation as one of the country’s most desirable employers, reinforcing its commitment to building an inclusive and supportive workplace as it continues to lead the Maldives’ digital transformation.
