Traffic Alert: Sinamalé Bridge Northbound Lane Closes Late Tonight for Maintenance

The Maldives Police Service has announced that the northbound lane of the Sinamalé Bridge will be closed from 23:45 on December 15, 2025, to facilitate essential maintenance work, with traffic to be diverted during the closure.

Police said the lane will remain closed until the work is completed, and urged motorists to anticipate changes to traffic flow while officers manage diversions in the area.

The Sinamalé Bridge is a critical transport link between Malé and the airport island, and police have advised drivers to cooperate with on-ground instructions and plan journeys accordingly to minimise disruption.
