Dhiraagu has signed on as the Platinum Partner for the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026 and the GM Forum 2026, marking the second consecutive year of collaboration with Hotelier Maldives.
The renewed agreement underscores Dhiraagu’s continued support for the country’s hospitality sector, widely regarded as a cornerstone of the Maldivian economy. Through the partnership, the telecommunications provider aims to recognise professional excellence within the industry while encouraging leadership dialogue among key stakeholders.
The Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026 will mark the third edition of the annual programme, which focuses exclusively on honouring individual professionals and teams working in the hospitality field. The awards remain the only national platform dedicated solely to recognising the contributions of hospitality personnel across the Maldives.
Meanwhile, the GM Forum 2026 — now in its 12th edition — is set to continue its role as a leading annual gathering for general managers and senior industry leaders. The forum provides a space for discussions on tourism trends, operational challenges, leadership development and the future direction of the Maldivian tourism sector.
Commenting on the renewed partnership, Ali Riyaz, Chief Commercial Officer of Dhiraagu, said the hospitality industry thrives on the dedication and expertise of its professionals.
“As one of the key drivers of the Maldivian economy, the hospitality sector depends on the people behind it. Our continued partnership reflects Dhiraagu’s commitment to supporting industry professionals, fostering innovation and contributing to the long-term development of tourism in the Maldives,” he said.
Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, welcomed the extension of the partnership, noting that Dhiraagu’s support plays a crucial role in strengthening both the awards programme and the GM Forum.
He said the collaboration enables the platform to celebrate hospitality professionals while bringing together industry leaders for meaningful discussions that contribute to sectoral growth.
Both the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026 and the GM Forum 2026 are scheduled to take place next year, with further details regarding dates, venues and programme highlights expected to be announced in the coming months.
