Dhiraagu, has unveiled its 2026 Ramadan campaign under the theme “Ailee Gulhun,” placing family connections at the centre of its brand message while rolling out a wide range of digital offers, rewards and community initiatives.
The campaign was announced at a press conference held on 17 February 2026, where Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, said the company aims to strengthen bonds among families and communities during the holy month.
“As the Nation’s Connection, Dhiraagu brings together families and communities across the Maldives, enabling meaningful moments and lasting connections. This Ramadan, our brand theme ‘Ailee Gulhun’ places family connections at the centre stage, reminding us of the importance of staying close to our loved ones and strengthening those bonds, no matter the distance,” he said.
China Trip, Free Data and Night-Time Benefits
At the heart of the Ramadan promotions is the “Crack A Kaashi and Win a Trip to China” campaign. Customers can claim 2GB of free data daily through the DhiraaguApp by virtually cracking a coconut. Those who participate every day throughout Ramadan will enter a grand draw to win a holiday for two to China.
To cater to late-night Ramadan routines, Dhiraagu is offering unlimited data for Tharaaveesdhan. Mobile users who activate any monthly add-on can enjoy unlimited data between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM. Alternatively, customers can purchase a special add-on priced at MVR 35 for one day or MVR 199 for 28 days, valid during the same hours.
In addition, Dhiraagu mobile customers will receive one hour of unlimited data or free voice calls every night between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM during Haarudhan.
Home broadband users are also included in the campaign. Customers can upgrade to higher internet speeds at no additional cost for two months under the “Upgrade to Limitehneh for Free” offer.
Families can further benefit from the “Salhi Aailaa” plan, which allows users to share up to 30GB of data with up to four family members, giving households greater control over usage during the busy Ramadan period.
Digital Giving and Zakat Payments
Beyond connectivity, Dhiraagu has integrated charitable initiatives into its Ramadan programme through DhiraaguPay.
Customers can donate iftar packs to migrant workers, with distributions carried out in partnership with Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives.
The company is also facilitating donations to vulnerable families through Moms Aid, with contributions funding care baskets containing essential food items. Dhiraagu has pledged to kick-start the initiative by supporting 100 families.
In addition, users can conveniently pay Fitr Zakat through DhiraaguPay, accessible via the DhiraaguApp or the DhiraaguPay platform, streamlining religious obligations through digital channels.
Customers can also gift Foodies vouchers to loved ones directly through the DhiraaguApp, adding a digital twist to traditional Ramadan gifting.
Events and Ramadan Film Launch
Dhiraagu confirmed that its popular Gudi Fest and Thashibari Movement initiatives will continue across the Maldives throughout Ramadan, reinforcing the campaign’s community-focused approach.
The press conference concluded with a preview of a special short film centred on the enduring value of family connections. Featuring well-known actors, the film highlights generational bonds and the timeless importance of staying connected. It will be officially released on the first day of Ramadan.
