The Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has launched a new promotional campaign offering customers the chance to win an Umrah trip by paying their water bills through the company’s mobile application or e-portal.

Branded as the “Hadhiyaa Badhiyaa” promotion, the initiative is aimed at encouraging domestic customers to make regular bill payments using digital platforms. Under the campaign, three lucky winners will be selected each month to receive an Umrah trip along with MVR 3,000 in cash.

The promotion will run from March 1 to May 31, 2026. To qualify, customers must be domestic account holders and settle their bills through the MWSC app or online portal during the campaign period. Only customers without outstanding dues will be eligible to enter the draw.

MWSC said the primary objective of the promotion is to familiarise customers with its digital services while reducing reliance on physical payment counters. The company added that the initiative supports its broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation and enhance service convenience.

According to MWSC, winners of the Umrah package will be required to utilise the trip within a timeframe specified by the company. If a winner is unable to undertake the pilgrimage, the prize may be transferred to another individual with MWSC’s approval.

The draw will be conducted using a digital system, and winners will be announced through the company’s official website and social media platforms. Selected customers will also be contacted directly.

For further information, customers may contact the MWSC Customer Care Hotline at 105. The company has encouraged all domestic customers to embrace digital bill payment options and take part in the promotion.
