STO Launches ‘My STO Loyalty’ Rewards Programme

By Hussain Shinan Published 3 hours ago

State Trading Organization (STO) has officially introduced a new loyalty programme aimed at offering exclusive rewards and shopping benefits to customers across selected STO outlets.

The programme, branded “My STO Loyalty,” was unveiled during the company’s Annual General Meeting this year and was developed following a proposal submitted by shareholders at last year’s AGM.

According to STO, shareholders are the first group to be enrolled in the programme and have automatically been placed in the highest membership tier, Platinum. The company said shareholders can now claim their loyalty cards through the Shareholder Portal.

The loyalty scheme is structured into three membership tiers: Silver, Gold and Platinum. Customers will earn points through purchases made at participating STO outlets, with card tiers upgrading based on shopping volume.

STO explained that while Silver members will earn standard points, Gold members will receive 1.5 times the points earned per transaction, while Platinum members will receive double points on eligible purchases.

Accumulated points can later be redeemed to offset shopping costs. According to the company, once a card reaches 200 points, customers can begin using the points for payments at STO outlets. Points earned under the programme will remain valid for two years.

The loyalty programme currently applies to transactions made at several STO-operated outlets, including:

  • STO People’s Choice in Malé
  • STO People’s Choice in Hulhumalé
  • STO Makita Showroom
  • STO Construction Showroom in Hulhumalé

STO noted that although the programme is initially limited to individual shareholders, plans are in place to eventually expand participation to the wider public.

The company described the initiative as part of broader efforts to enhance customer engagement and provide additional value to shoppers using STO services and outlets across the Maldives.
