STELCO Stall Becomes Crowd Favourite at Eid Haveeru 2026

By Hussain Shinan Published May 29, 2026

The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) emerged as one of the major attractions at this year’s Eid Haveeru celebrations, drawing large crowds with a range of interactive games, entertainment activities and family-friendly experiences.

The government-organised Eid festival, held over three days, was designed to provide a festive atmosphere for families and communities celebrating Eid al-Adha. The event featured a variety of activities for children and adults, with government institutions, state-owned enterprises and private organisations participating through themed stalls and exhibitions.

Among the most popular attractions was STELCO’s interactive booth, which remained busy throughout the event as visitors lined up to take part in games, activities and prize opportunities.

One of the standout features of the stall was a 360-degree video booth, which quickly became a favourite among attendees. Families, friends and children gathered to create memorable videos and capture special moments from the celebrations, contributing to the lively atmosphere surrounding the STELCO exhibition area.

Visitors also participated in a variety of games and entertainment activities organised by STELCO staff, helping make the company’s stall one of the busiest locations at the festival grounds.

Following the second day of festivities, STELCO expressed appreciation to members of the public for the strong turnout and enthusiastic participation.

The company thanked visitors for their support and highlighted the positive response received from families who attended the activities throughout the event.

Eid Haveeru has become a regular feature of national Eid celebrations in recent years, bringing together government institutions, businesses and community organisations to provide entertainment and recreational opportunities for the public.

This year’s event featured cultural performances, children’s activities, games, exhibitions and interactive experiences aimed at encouraging community engagement during the holiday period.

For many families, the festival offered an opportunity to spend quality time together outside the home while enjoying a variety of free activities and entertainment.

STELCO’s participation forms part of the company’s wider efforts to engage with communities beyond its role as the country’s primary electricity provider. The utility frequently takes part in national events, awareness campaigns and community programmes across the Maldives.

As the Eid celebrations continue, organisers have described the strong public turnout as a reflection of the community spirit and festive atmosphere that Eid Haveeru seeks to promote each year.

With thousands of visitors attending the festival grounds over the holiday period, the event once again provided a platform for families, friends and children to come together and celebrate Eid in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
