The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has extended the deadline for land and flat applications under the “Housing for All” programme until 2:00 a.m. following a temporary technical issue with the Boahiyaavahikan Portal.
The ministry announced late Monday that the technical problems affecting the portal had been successfully resolved and services had been fully restored.
The outage occurred on the final day of the application period, preventing some applicants from accessing the system and completing their submissions before the original 11:59 p.m. deadline.
To ensure affected applicants are given sufficient time to finalize their applications, the ministry decided to extend the deadline by an additional two hours.
The current application window had already been extended twice previously, with the deadline first moved from 30 April to 31 May and later to 15 June.
The Boahiyaavahikan Portal is the government’s primary platform for processing applications for land plots and housing units in the Greater Malé Region under President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s “Housing for All” policy.
The ministry urged applicants to complete and submit their applications before the revised 2:00 a.m. deadline.
