BML, Mastercard Offer MVR 100,000 in Cash Through New Lucky Draw

By Hussain Shinan Published 4 hours ago

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has partnered with Mastercard to launch a new promotional campaign that will see customers compete for a total of MVR 100,000 in cash prizes.

The campaign, which runs from July 6 to August 31, is open to customers who apply for a new BML Mastercard Debit Card during the promotional period.

To qualify for the lucky draw, customers must use their newly issued Mastercard to make a purchase worth at least MVR 200 through a BML Point of Sale (POS) terminal or the BML Payment Gateway.

BML said customers can improve their chances of winning by increasing their spending throughout the campaign. An additional lucky draw entry will be awarded for every MVR 1,000 spent in a week, while customers who spend MVR 5,000 within a month will receive another bonus entry.

At the conclusion of the promotion, 10 winners will be selected through a lucky draw, with each receiving MVR 10,000. The cash prizes will be credited directly to the winners’ Bank of Maldives accounts.

The promotion is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to encourage the use of digital payment solutions and card-based transactions.

BML’s Mastercard Debit Card allows customers to make purchases locally and internationally, while also providing access to cash withdrawals through ATMs. Under the bank’s current limits, cardholders can withdraw up to MVR 25,000 per day from Maldivian rufiyaa accounts and up to USD 1,600 per day from US dollar accounts.

As the principal Mastercard member in the Maldives, BML issues a range of Mastercard Debit, Credit and Prepaid Cards, offering customers access to secure payment services, rewards programmes and promotional offers both locally and overseas.

The bank said further details about the campaign, including eligibility requirements and promotional terms, are available on its website.
