Only Five Days Left to Apply for MMA Scholarships

By Hussain Shinan Published 5 hours ago

The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has urged prospective applicants to submit their scholarship applications as the deadline for its 2026 Higher Education Scholarship Programme draws closer, with only six days remaining before applications close.

The central bank said applications will be accepted until Wednesday, July 15, and encouraged eligible candidates to complete the online application process before the deadline.

The scholarship programme offers opportunities for Maldivian students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes at selected universities in Malaysia.

According to the MMA, successful applicants will have the opportunity to study at Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), INCEIF University, and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Applications for all programmes must be submitted through the authority’s designated online application portal.

The MMA Scholarship Programme forms part of the authority’s efforts to develop skilled professionals in areas that support the country’s financial and economic sectors. Through the initiative, the central bank has continued to invest in higher education by providing opportunities for Maldivians to study at internationally recognised institutions.

The authority has advised interested applicants to ensure all required documents are submitted before the closing date to avoid missing the opportunity.
