A man has died following a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry on Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Malé on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Maldives Police Service, the accident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Dharubaaruge.
Police said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries in the collision. However, medical officials later confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have identified the deceased only as a male, with no further information regarding his identity released as of Saturday evening.
