President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the fifth session of the High Achievers’ Award 2025 ceremony on Sunday evening, where he presented top national honours to students who achieved outstanding academic results in secondary and higher secondary examinations.
The ceremony was held at the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Hulhumalé and recognised students who secured the highest marks nationwide in individual subjects.

During the event, awards were presented to recipients of the High Achievement Award for secondary education, the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for secondary examinations, the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for higher secondary examinations, and the High Achievers’ Scholarship. President Muizzu personally presented awards to students receiving the highest distinctions.
The President was welcomed with an honour guard upon his arrival, and students presented him with a commemorative gift.
The government stated that expanding access to quality education and higher learning, while developing a generation equipped with strong academic and technical skills, remains a central pillar of its long-term national development strategy.
