Maldivians planning to travel to the United Kingdom will be able to complete key stages of their UK visa application in Malé next month, as VFS Global opens a temporary UK visa camp from 10 to 12 August.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the clinic will operate at Maagiri Hotel and will allow applicants to complete biometric enrolment and submit supporting documents locally, removing the need to travel abroad for these procedures.
The service is expected to benefit a wide range of travellers, particularly students preparing to begin higher education in the UK, as well as others applying for UK visas.
VFS Global has advised applicants to complete their visa application through the official UK visa portal before booking an appointment for the temporary visa clinic. Applicants must attend their scheduled appointment to submit the required documents and provide biometric information.
The temporary UK visa clinic is organised each year to make the visa application process more accessible and convenient for Maldivians travelling to the United Kingdom.
