Ibrahim Shiuree has resigned as Managing Director of Visit Maldives, citing personal reasons for his decision to step down.
Shiuree was appointed to lead the country’s tourism promotion body on June 13, 2024, taking charge at a crucial period for the Maldives’ tourism industry.
During his tenure, Shiuree contributed to efforts aimed at strengthening the Maldives’ position as a leading global tourism destination and advancing the country’s tourism promotion initiatives.
Before his appointment to Visit Maldives, Shiuree served on the Board of Directors of the Maldives Hajj Corporation and was also a board member of the Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI).
Shiuree holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Public Relations.
