The Maldives National Service has successfully concluded “Camp Fanvaru,” the second field camp conducted for students enrolled in the third batch of the National Service Initial Training programme.
The two-day camp was held on September 2 and 3, with 341 trainees taking part as they progress through the 13th week of their initial training.
According to the Maldives National Service, Camp Fanvaru was designed to strengthen practical life skills and resilience by placing trainees in real-world situations outside their usual training environment.
Participants took part in a range of team-building exercises intended to develop unity, responsibility and cooperation. The activities also focused on improving trainees’ confidence and their ability to work effectively with others while facing challenging circumstances.
The field camp provided opportunities for participants to strengthen decision-making skills, particularly their ability to make firm and accurate choices under demanding conditions.
The third National Service Initial Training batch consists of 279 male and 62 female trainees, bringing the total number of participants to 341.
With the trainees now approaching the final stages of the programme, preparations are expected to focus on completing the remaining training requirements.
The formal graduation ceremony for the third batch is scheduled for September 19, marking the completion of their National Service Initial Training.
