In a significant transformation, the former Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives has officially rebranded as Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa. Now operating as a white-label resort under the esteemed Accor brand, the property is poised to enter a new era of luxury and modernity. A full relaunch is scheduled for the end of 2025 as part of Accor’s Luxury Lifestyle portfolio, although for the time being, the resort will continue to serve guests under its new name with the same ownership, management, and dedicated team.
The resort is currently undergoing a comprehensive enhancement project aimed at refreshing its facilities and overall guest experience. Upgrades include a complete overhaul of the beach villas, residences, dining venues, arrival jetty, and public spaces. In a further commitment to elevating the guest experience, renovations to the water villas are set to begin during the low season of 2026, ensuring a seamless transition to a modern luxury ambiance that aligns with the new brand identity.
Importantly, the resort assures that guests will experience minimal disruption during the renovation phase. Structural work is being managed in such a way as to avoid noise and inconvenience, and both current and future bookings remain unaffected. Moreover, members of Accor Live Limitless and Accor Plus will continue to receive their exclusive benefits throughout the transition period.
The rebranding and extensive refurbishment highlight the resort’s ambition to offer an unparalleled blend of comfort, modern design, and authentic Maldivian hospitality—setting a new benchmark for luxury in the region.
