BML Unveils Ramadan Promotion Offering MVR 100,000 Grand Prize

By Hussain Shinan Published January 11, 2026

Bank of Maldives (BML) has unveiled its Ramadan promotion for 2026, offering customers the chance to win weekly rewards and a grand prize worth MVR 100,000 as part of its seasonal campaign titled ‘Ran Furusathu 2026’.

Announced on Sunday, the promotion will run from January 10 to March 19, coinciding with the lead-up to Ramadan and the peak shopping period ahead of the holy month. BML said the campaign is designed to reward customers who use the bank’s digital and card payment services while shopping at selected outlets.

During the promotional period, customers making payments through BML POS terminals, BML Static QR, or the BML Payment Gateway at participating merchants will automatically be eligible for weekly draws. Cash transactions and payments made outside these channels will not qualify.

As part of the weekly rewards, five customers will be selected every week to receive BML gift cards valued at MVR 2,000 each. To be eligible, customers must spend a minimum of MVR 500 in a single transaction at a participating store.

At the end of the campaign, one lucky customer will walk away with the grand prize — a BML gift card worth MVR 100,000. Eligibility for the grand draw requires customers to accumulate total spending of at least MVR 10,000 at participating outlets during the promotion period.

BML noted that full details of the promotion, including the list of participating shops, are available on the bank’s official website. The campaign forms part of BML’s broader efforts to promote cashless payments while rewarding customers during key seasonal shopping periods.
