BML unveils Visa Platinum Debit Card offering USD 3,200 daily withdrawals and USD 5,000 foreign spending

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the launch of its new Visa Platinum Debit Card, a premium offering designed exclusively for customers with USD accounts. The new card expands the bank’s suite of international banking solutions, providing global accessibility and enhanced transaction limits for high-value users.

The Visa Platinum Debit Card delivers a combination of convenience, security, and exclusive privileges through Visa’s global network. Customers can now enjoy a daily ATM withdrawal limit of USD 3,200, double that of standard cards, along with a daily foreign spending limit of USD 5,000. The card also grants access to Visa Platinum Concierge services and international partner offers, enabling seamless travel and lifestyle benefits across the world.

Commenting on the launch, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef stated that the new card is part of the bank’s strategy to elevate customer experience. “The launch of our new Visa Platinum Debit Card provides customers with a convenient and secure way to access their USD accounts while enjoying the platinum-tier experience. With this new card, we aim to provide an enhanced international banking experience, reflecting our continued commitment to improving the banking experience for our customers,” Shareef said.

The Visa Platinum Debit Card can be applied for via BML Internet Banking and the Mobile Banking app, allowing existing customers a seamless digital onboarding process.

As the Maldives’ largest financial institution, BML continues to expand its product range to cater to the growing needs of both local and international clients, reinforcing its position as a leader in digital and retail banking innovation.
