President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that tenders will be opened and bids invited by the end of this month for the construction of housing units on all islands pledged during his presidential campaign. During a meeting with Hoadedhdhoo residents today, President Muizzu emphasized that the budgets for this year and the next have been structured to commence the implementation of his campaign promises.
Highlighting the paramount importance of housing, President Muizzu declared that this year’s budget is dedicated to housing initiatives. Consequently, a housing project in Hoadedhdhoo will be launched within this year’s financial framework.
“I have directed the Finance Minister to initiate tenders and invite bids for all projects announced during the campaign, aimed at constructing housing units across the islands, before January concludes. This process will enable us to identify contractors, assign tasks, and move forward,” stated President Muizzu.
He reiterated that all campaign commitments were made with the intent to fulfill them and assured that the government will prioritize these commitments. The President affirmed that this year’s budget has been crafted specifically to realize these promises.
