President Mohamed Muizzu has expressed confidence that intensified campaign efforts over the coming weeks will further strengthen momentum ahead of the Local Council Elections 2026.

Speaking at the “Greater Addu–Malé Rally” organized by the People’s National Congress on Saturday night at Artificial Beach, President Muizzu said the coming three to four weeks would be crucial in driving the campaign forward and achieving further success.

“I am confident that the efforts exerted over the coming days, specifically during these final three to four weeks, will elevate this campaign to a higher gear, leading to further success,” the President said.

He encouraged party members and supporters actively participating in the campaign, urging them to maintain their efforts as the election approaches.

“I strongly encourage all of you in this endeavor. The government will remain steadfast and work at an accelerated pace to fulfil the promises I have made,” President Muizzu added.

The Greater Addu–Malé Rally forms part of the ruling party’s nationwide campaign activities as political parties intensify outreach efforts across the Maldives ahead of the April 4 local council elections.
