He highlighted that the stability of the Indian Ocean is crucial for the safety of its surrounding nations and stated that the Maldives considers India’s security integral to its own.
Minister Khaleel’s visit to Delhi included key discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar. On his inaugural visit as Foreign Minister, he expressed appreciation for India’s financial support and development initiatives that have significantly benefitted the Maldives.
Khaleel remarked on the collaborative growth potential of the region, with India playing a pivotal role in spearheading development efforts, and acknowledged India’s ongoing support to its neighboring countries.
