Building on the success of 2024, where the Maldives achieved a record-breaking 2 million tourist arrivals, the government has set an ambitious target of 2.2 million visitors for 2025. To reach this goal, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has outlined several initiatives, including the launch of the ‘Visit Maldives Shop’ for branded merchandise, the ‘Visit Maldives Calendar’ to centralize event information, and the ‘Visit Maldives Academy’ to enhance industry knowledge. Additionally, the ‘Visit Maldives Content Portal’ will provide a platform for creators to showcase and sell digital products.
These strategic efforts aim to bolster the Maldives’ position as a premier global tourist destination, ensuring sustained growth and economic prosperity for the nation.
