In a strategic move to allure global travelers, Visit Maldives, in collaboration with premier industry partners, launched a compelling advertising campaign at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale). The festival, which ran from February 13 to 23, 2025, attracted an impressive 1.6 million attendees, including filmmakers, celebrities, industry professionals, and cinema enthusiasts from around the globe.

The Maldives’ breathtaking landscapes were showcased on two expansive digital billboards, each presenting mesmerizing 30-second video advertisements throughout the festival. This initiative, executed in partnership with esteemed entities such as So Maldives, Resort Life, Canareef, Arena Hotels, Brennia Kottefaru, and Summer Island, aimed to reinforce the nation’s reputation as the world’s premier luxury and leisure destination.
