Man in Critical Condition After Fall from Building in Malé

A 30-year-old expatriate has been left in critical condition after falling from the 10th floor of a building in Malé, authorities have confirmed.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the incident occurred on Sabudheli Magu in the Maafannu district at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Monday. Police said they received reports of a fall and responded to the scene shortly after.

The victim, identified as a Bangladeshi national, is reported to have fallen from the upper floor of the building onto the roof of a nearby house.

He was immediately transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), where medical officials confirmed he is currently undergoing treatment. Hospital sources said the man has been placed on a ventilator and remains in serious condition.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall. No further details have been released at this time.
