The Maldives National University has entered into a strategic partnership with Dhiraagu to strengthen student innovation and entrepreneurship through the launch of “MNU InnovateHub Powered by Dhiraagu.”
The partnership was formalised at a signing ceremony held at the Maldives National University, marking a significant milestone in national efforts to cultivate youth-led innovation and build a more dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the university’s flagship incubator programme will now operate under the new identity, MNU InnovateHub Powered by Dhiraagu. The initiative is designed to help students transform innovative ideas into practical, scalable solutions that contribute to long-term national development and sustainability.
MNU InnovateHub functions as a university-based incubator focusing on capacity building, mentorship, ideation, validation, and early-stage venture development. The programme aligns with national strategic priorities as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing a shared commitment to responsible and sustainable innovation.
As part of the collaboration, Dhiraagu will provide both financial and in-kind support to the incubator. This includes mentorship from industry professionals, participation as judges at student pitch events, and the provision of Dhiraagu HighSpeed Fiber Internet to power the incubator space and support the incubation journey.
The partnership reflects Dhiraagu’s continued commitment to empowering young people, advancing digital innovation, and supporting entrepreneurship in the Maldives. By investing in future innovators, the company aims to help develop future-ready talent capable of driving sustainable economic and social progress.
The collaboration also highlights the growing importance of strong university-industry partnerships in expanding opportunities for young entrepreneurs and strengthening the Maldives’ innovation landscape through impactful, youth-driven solutions.
