MTCC Inspires Young Minds at National Engineers Day Celebration

By Ahmed Ashraf Published September 13, 2025

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure hosted a vibrant Children’s Evening at Usfasgandu yesterday to mark National Engineers Day, drawing families, students, and future innovators to the event.

As part of the celebrations, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) set up an interactive stall designed to spark curiosity among children and highlight the vital role of engineering in nation-building. Visitors engaged with demonstrations, hands-on activities, and informative displays that showcased the company’s contributions to infrastructure development across the Maldives.

MTCC expressed gratitude to the enthusiastic participants who visited the stall, noting that the initiative was aimed at inspiring the next generation of Maldivian engineers. “We were delighted to welcome young learners and their families. Our hope is that this experience left them not only entertained but also motivated to pursue engineering as a future career” the company said.

National Engineers Day, observed annually, underscores the significance of engineering professionals in shaping the country’s growth. By engaging children directly in the celebration, the event bridged the gap between industry expertise and youthful ambition, reinforcing the importance of nurturing local talent for the Maldives’ future development.
