Significant progress has been made on the North Side Boduthakurufaanu Road Development Project, a key component of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to transform Malé into a modern and resilient city. The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) reported that Segment 1 of the project has now reached 80 percent completion.
According to MTCC, the installation of the Stormwater Management System—including all catchment pits and connecting pipes—has been successfully completed. This crucial feature will help prevent flooding during heavy rainfall, a persistent challenge for the capital.
