By Ahmed Ashraf Published 2 hours ago

Ooredoo Fintech Maldives has expanded its digital payments ecosystem by forming a new partnership with eeezap, one of the fastest growing e commerce platforms in the country. The collaboration, announced on 23 November 2025, will enable eeezap customers to make secure payments through mFaisaa starting 1 December.

The integration positions mFaisaa as a central payment method for everyday online services, strengthening its role as a trusted solution for bill payments, merchant transactions, money transfers, mobile top ups and soon international remittances. By connecting with eeezap’s rapidly expanding customer base, Ooredoo Fintech aims to widen digital access across all regions of the Maldives.

Speaking about the partnership, Hussain Niyaz, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Fintech Maldives, said the initiative reflects the company’s long term commitment to enabling a fully digital economy. He noted that the collaboration will support customers from the capital to remote islands by offering faster and more reliable cashless transactions through mFaisaa.

eeezap CEO and CFO Abdullah Miuvan Shareef highlighted the platform’s focus on creating convenience driven digital experiences. He said the addition of mFaisaa gives users a simple and secure way to complete payments, further enhancing the platform’s value for shoppers seeking efficiency.

The partnership also aligns with the national shift toward a cashless future. Ooredoo Fintech Maldives emphasized that mFaisaa’s security framework, real time monitoring and full compliance with local regulations ensure strong protections for users as digital adoption accelerates.

Both companies stated that they look forward to strengthening digital convenience and financial inclusion through joint initiatives in the coming months.
