The Asian Pistol and Rifle Cup 2025 is currently taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring top marksmen and women from across Asia’s competitive shooting circuit. Eshal, a student at Majeedhiya School, made history by clinching the silver medal in the junior women’s category, marking a new chapter for Maldives’ presence in international shooting sports.

Her achievement is seen as a breakthrough for Maldivian marksmanship, a sport that has been steadily growing in the country in recent years.

Eshal’s success on the international stage has been met with widespread praise and recognition, not only from the government but also from Maldivian sports communities and shooting enthusiasts. Her achievement is expected to inspire more young athletes to pursue shooting sports, as the Maldives continues to develop its presence in global competitions.

With her silver medal win, Eshal has cemented her place as a rising star in Maldivian sports, proving that the nation’s talent pool is expanding beyond traditional sporting disciplines.
