President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, along with a high-level delegation from the Maldives, delved into Estonia’s celebrated digital transformation during their visit to the e-Estonia Briefing Centre in Tallinn. The President and his delegation were warmly received by Triin Joasaare, Head of the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, and Joonas Vänto, Acting Head of the International Services Division and Director of the Estonian Investment Agency at Enterprise Estonia.
During their visit, the Maldivian delegation was presented with an overview of Estonia’s digital evolution. The presentation highlighted the nation’s pioneering efforts in digital society and e-governance, showcasing successful integrations like e-residency, digital ID, e-taxation, and secure data exchange facilitated by X-Road systems.
President Muizzu’s official visit to Estonia comes at the invitation of Dr Alar Karis, President of Estonia. Accompanying him are key figures from the Maldivian technology sector.
