President Muizzu Opens Doors to the Business Community, All Are Invited This Wednesday

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 17 hours ago

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will convene a focused meeting with Maldivian business leaders on Wednesday evening, December 17, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to inclusive dialogue and national progress. The session, scheduled for 8:30 PM at the Social Centre, is designed to bring entrepreneurs and decision-makers together to exchange insights and advance the country’s economic priorities.

This engagement follows a series of community consultations spearheaded by President Muizzu across the capital’s local wards, part of his broader strategy to engage directly with citizens over key development priorities. In recent weeks, the President has met with residents of Villimale’ and Machchangolhi, as well as Maafannu, Henveiru ward, to hear their concerns and discuss solutions on matters ranging from housing and infrastructure to everyday civic challenges. His consultations have emphasised open dialogue, with assurances that all views, including dissenting voices, are welcomed and will inform future action.

In a statement shared by the President’s Office Chief Spokesperson, Heena Waleed, business owners across the Maldives are invited to join the upcoming meeting to share their perspectives, pinpoint obstacles, and contribute to shaping policy that supports entrepreneurship, job creation, and sustainable growth. The initiative reflects President Muizzu’s continued emphasis on government-community engagement across sectors, ensuring that planning and implementation are grounded in the lived experiences of citizens and private sector stakeholders.

The December 17 session marks a continuation of the President’s consultative approach, aligning economic dialogue with grassroots feedback gleaned from local residents in Male City’s wards. By integrating these diverse voices into national discourse, the administration aims to foster an environment conducive to shared prosperity and responsive governance.
