President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is set to attend a special Taraweeh dinner hosted by the People’s National Congress (PNC) on Thursday night.
The gathering will take place at 9:30 p.m. at the Artificial Beach area in Malé. The party has extended a public invitation to its members and supporters to join the event.
According to the PNC, the Taraweeh dinner is intended to strengthen ties between party leadership and grassroots members during the holy month of Ramadan. The party said such engagements provide an opportunity for leaders to connect directly with supporters and reinforce internal unity.
The event comes as the PNC continues to expand its political activities nationwide. In recent weeks, the party has intensified outreach efforts, meeting with members across constituencies and listening to public concerns ahead of the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
Recent figures released by the Elections Commission of Maldives indicate that the PNC remains the largest political party in the country, with membership exceeding 74,000.
Party officials say organisational strengthening and increased member engagement remain key priorities as campaign activities gather pace in the lead-up to the April polls.
