President Muizzu personally received Prime Minister Modi and his delegation at Velana International Airport, reflecting the importance the Maldivian administration places on enhancing ties with its neighbours. A formal welcome ceremony is scheduled for later today to honour the visiting dignitary.
The two leaders are set to hold high-level bilateral talks focused on deepening cooperation across key sectors. Several Memoranda of Understanding and agreements are expected to be exchanged, with both leaders set to issue a joint statement following the talks.
