President Muizzu’s Eid al-Adha Message from Arafah: A Call for Unity, Compassion, and Solidarity

In a heartfelt address from the sacred plains of Arafah during his Hajj pilgrimage, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu extended warm Eid al-Adha greetings to the Maldivian people and the global Islamic community. His message emphasized unity, compassion, and spiritual reflection during this significant period.

Emphasizing National Unity and Brotherhood

President Muizzu called upon Maldivians to strengthen bonds of friendship and kinship. “May a sense of unity, friendship, and kinship grow in our hearts,” he stated, highlighting the importance of collective harmony and mutual support among citizens.

Celebrating the Essence of Eid

Reflecting on the spirit of Eid al-Adha, the President described it as a time when communities come together in prayer, gratitude, and celebration. He noted the beauty of congregational prayers, the exchange of greetings, and the shared joy that characterizes the festival.

Expressing deep concern for global Muslim communities, President Muizzu conveyed special prayers for the people of Palestine. He acknowledged the Maldivian nation’s heartfelt affection for their brethren in Palestine and prayed for peace, provision, and security for those affected by conflict.

Encouraging Acts of Kindness and Social Harmony

President Muizzu encouraged citizens to make Eid a time of kindness and generosity. He emphasized the importance of bringing happiness to elderly parents, maintaining neighborly relations, strengthening friendships, and providing comfort to children through good examples and advice.

Concluding his message, the President prayed for peace and happiness for the Maldivian people. He expressed hope that the nation remains steadfast in gratitude for blessings and continues on a path of victory, fortune, and prosperity.
