The incident involved the speedboat ‘Huvan’, which was en route from Alifu Dhaalu Dhigurah to Malé City, carrying 45 passengers—including four children—and three crew members. At approximately 7:57 am, distress signals indicated the vessel was sinking between Mahibadhoo and Dhigurah.
