The Maldives is poised to make a significant impact at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, scheduled from April 28 to May 1. With an unprecedented delegation comprising 111 exhibitors and over 230 delegates, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) underscores the nation’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Middle Eastern tourism sector.
Ibrahim Shiuree, Managing Director of MMPRC, emphasized the growing importance of ATM in the global tourism landscape. “Feedback from our partners indicates that ATM has evolved into one of the world’s premier tourism fairs, warranting our focused attention,” Shiuree stated in a recent interview with PSM News. This strategic shift aligns with MMPRC’s broader objectives to diversify marketing efforts and optimize resource allocation.
The Maldives’ pavilion at ATM 2025 will not only highlight its renowned luxury resorts and pristine beaches but also showcase the nation’s rich cultural heritage. In a novel initiative, MMPRC has invited local artists to participate in live performances and art displays, offering attendees an immersive experience of Maldivian traditions. A special “Maldivian Evening” is also planned, celebrating the country’s vibrant arts scene.
Adding a unique twist to this year’s participation, the Maldives stand will feature co-branding with Liverpool FC, reflecting MMPRC’s innovative approach to global partnerships and audience engagement.
The Arabian Travel Market 2025 is expected to attract over 46,000 professionals from 160 countries, providing an invaluable platform for the Maldives to forge new partnerships and enhance its appeal to Middle Eastern travelers. As the nation continues to diversify its tourism offerings, events like ATM play a crucial role in positioning the Maldives as a multifaceted destination that seamlessly blends natural beauty with cultural richness.
With its largest-ever delegation and a dynamic showcase planned, the Maldives is set to captivate attendees at ATM 2025, reinforcing its status as a leading global travel destination.
