In a continuing effort to foster religious awareness among its workforce, the State Electric Company (STELCO) held an Islamic knowledge session on Sunday as part of its ongoing ‘Risalat’ program. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, is designed to promote understanding and reflection on Islamic teachings within the workplace.
The session was led by Sheikh Azim Khalid, who shared insightful guidance on matters pertaining to Islamic Sharia. His talk covered key principles of faith and practical aspects of religious life, offering STELCO employees a deeper appreciation of the values that shape personal and professional conduct in an Islamic society.
According to STELCO, the ‘Risalat’ series reflects the company’s commitment not only to operational excellence but also to the spiritual and ethical development of its staff. “Our aim is to provide a balanced work environment that nurtures both the minds and values of our employees,” a company representative noted.
The program is part of STELCO’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts, which include educational sessions, community engagement, and initiatives to support staff wellbeing and moral development. Additional sessions under the ‘Risalat’ banner are expected to continue in the coming months.
