In a significant move to bolster public safety, construction has commenced on a state-of-the-art police station in Alif Dhaal Maamigili, generously funded by Villa Company’s Chairman and Maamigili MP, Honorable Qasim Ibrahim.
The initiative was formalized through an agreement between the Maldives Police Service and Villa Foundation. The foundation-laying ceremony, held today on the island, saw the esteemed presence of Qasim Ibrahim, Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau, and other senior police officials.

Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the development and social advancement of Maamigili, Qasim Ibrahim signed the agreement on behalf of Villa Foundation. Commissioner Ali Shujau represented the police force in this landmark partnership.
The forthcoming facility will encompass an office building, police accommodations, and a mess room, reflecting a comprehensive approach to supporting law enforcement personnel. The project is slated for completion within a year, marking a swift stride towards enhanced community security.
