Meanwhile, the Maldives Meteorological Service has raised an Orange Alert for Male’ and surrounding areas, signaling an escalating crisis. The alert, in effect from 9:45 PM to midnight, warns of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, with further flooding expected.
