X Outage Sweeps Maldives and India as Cloudflare Glitch Knocks Users Offline

By Ahmed Ashraf Published 23 hours ago

Platforms including X (formerly Twitter) suffered login and feed-loading failures on Tuesday evening across the Maldives and India, with thousands of users reporting issues all across South Asia.

The outage, affecting both the website and mobile app, has been linked to a disruption at Cloudflare, a major web-infrastructure provider, which is investigating a server-side fault.

Users in Malé and major Indian cities reported being unable to post or refresh their timelines, and error messages such as “Something went wrong. Try again” appeared widely. The infrastructure fault appears to have impacted other services and regions globally, further intensifying user-concerns.

No official timeline for full restoration has been provided by X or Cloudflare.
