President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu this evening presided over the grand ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Attorney General’s Office, held at Barceló Nasandhura.
At the Diamond Jubilee celebration, President Muizzu launched the commemorative book published for the occasion and inaugurated the institution’s new official website, designed to enhance public access to information and services.

Highlighting decades of dedicated service, the President presented awards to staff members who have served the Office for over 20 years. Employees with 15 to 20 years of service were also recognised, with their awards presented by Attorney General Uz Ahmed Usham.
In a gesture of respect and gratitude, Attorney General Usham presented a commemorative plaque to President Muizzu on behalf of the Office.
The milestone ceremony brought together senior figures from the People’s Majlis and the judiciary, former Attorneys General, and a large gathering of current and past staff. The President also joined a commemorative photo session, symbolising unity and continuity in one of the nation’s most important state institutions.
The 75th anniversary stands as a testament to the Attorney General’s Office’s unwavering role in upholding the rule of law, safeguarding public interest, and strengthening the democratic fabric of the Maldives.
