President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu this morning embarked on a three-day tour of Alifu Alifu Atoll, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and direct dialogue with local communities.
During the visit, the President will travel across eight inhabited islands — Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo, Feridhoo, Maalhos, and Himandhoo. On each island, he is scheduled to meet with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and residents to listen to their concerns, discuss development priorities, and assess community needs firsthand.
The President is joined by Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials, ensuring that decisions and solutions can be addressed in real time. His direct engagement is designed to accelerate government responsiveness and strengthen coordination between state institutions and island administrations.
This atoll tour is part of President Muizzu’s nationwide initiative to personally visit all Maldivian atolls, bringing the voices of local councils, city councils, and island residents into the heart of policy-making. By emphasizing face-to-face dialogue, the President underscores his vision of a people-centered government that delivers progress to every community.
