Battle of the Atolls: Ooredoo Launches Nationwide PUBG Mobile League with MVR 50,000 Prize Pool

Ooredoo Nation has officially launched the Ooredoo Nation Atoll eSports League 2025, the Maldives’ biggest eSports tournament to date, bringing together 49 teams from 35 islands across 16 atolls for an electrifying showdown in the globally popular title PUBG Mobile.

The competition commenced on 20 August with the Group Stage, which will continue until 3 September. Following this, the league will climax with a four-day Grand Finals from 5–8 September 2025, where the nation’s top gamers will battle for glory and a prize pool of MVR 50,000.

  • Runner-up: MVR 12,000
  • Third Place: MVR 6,000
  • Fourth Place: MVR 3,000
  • Most Valuable Player (MVP): MVR 4,000

Expanding Digital Horizons for Youth

Ooredoo Maldives emphasized that the Atoll eSports League is a milestone in empowering young Maldivians through digital platforms, bridging geographic divides and providing opportunities for gamers nationwide to showcase their talent. The company highlighted that the initiative underscores the growing role of eSports in community-building and youth engagement.

With competitive gaming gaining momentum globally, Ooredoo’s investment in structured eSports leagues reflects both the rising demand for digital entertainment and the untapped potential of Maldivian talent in international arenas.
